Guwahati : Indian Super League (ISL) outfit NorthEast United are far from an ideal start the team must have wished for.
Languishing at 9th position at the table, they are just kept from the bottom by Delhi Dynamos.
NorthEast United are the only one of the two teams to have never made it into the last four of the elite league.
Under coach Joao de Deus the team has been unable to register a single win at home.
To add to the misery, the team has not scored a single goal at home this season.
NorthEast United think tank seems to be concerned about this as report has emerged that the team management is now mulling to reappoint last season coach Nelo Vingada.
Portuguese coach Nelo Vingada guided NEUFC to a 5th position finish in ISL-3, their best ever performance.
It was expected that Vingada would return to the Highlanders again this season, but he was appointed as the coach of Malaysia National Team.
However, following a string of poor performances by Malaysia, Vingada announced his resignation earlier this month.
Not only this, the team is also mulling the change of their foreign contingent in the January transfer window.
