Jamshedpur: Kalinga Stadium is all set to host ISL for the first time as they play host to Jamshedpur FC for a high octane clash against Bengaluru FC.
This comes as a result of the special request by Orissa Government to host ISL matches.
Initially, State Government wanted to host two matches, but IMG-R allowed only one match due to logistical issues.
The clash is scheduled to take place on February 25.
With not much time left,Tata management has started works to renovate the pitch.
The task has been handed to a Delhi-based company and groundsmen who took care of the JRD Sports Complex are already sowing Bermuda Grass.
ISL inspection team will examine the pitch when they arrive early February at the stadium.
The Kalinga Stadium which has a 15,000 capacity has earlier hosted Asian Athletics Championship this year.
