Indian Football Fights

Have a look at some of the Indian Football Fights that happened right at the field.

  • Belncoso and Cunha :

In the ISL 2016, ATK’s Belncoso and Mumbai City FC’s Cunha got involved in a hand to hand fight after the referee blew the final whistle in the 2nd leg of semi final. Immediately these two players got the red card but the situation got out of control. Cunha jumped in the air and kicked ATK’s key defender Pritam Kotal. He was very badly injured and was bleeding just below his right eye.

  • Elano Blumar and Dattaraj Salgaocar :

This is the most controversial incident of ISL 2015. Chennaiyin FC’s Poster boy Elano got arrested by Goa Police after his team sealed the final title. The man behind this arrest incident is Mr. Dattaraj Salgaocar, who lodged a FIR in a local police station. But at the TV footage there is nothing wrong in the Elano’s behaviour. After spending a night in police custody he was finally released.

  • Fikru and Gregory :

The bad boy of ATK, Fikru and FC Goa’s strong centre back Gregory hit up the match with their head clash in 2014. Stating from the very 1st minute these two players got involved in small chit-chats, but when Cavin Lobo scored twice to turn the result in favour of ATK, things got messed up and suddenly Fikru and Gregory started fighting on the field.

  • 9th December Derby :

The Derby on 9th December 2012 was the most dangerous one which could have resulted in death too. In this match versatile player Sayad Rahim Nabi got heavily injured by hitting stones from the gallery. He got four stitches and fracture in between the jaws and his right ear and resulted in pulling out of the team without playing the second half.

Football is of course a body contact game but again it unites the world as one. So,its better to avoid this kind of things on and off the field.
